Call for Papers Diagnosis in Physiotherapy

A crucial role of physiotherapists, it is to thoroughly assess patients, or entire communities to gain a deeper understanding of their conditions and determine an accurate diagnosis. Diagnosis forms the basis for creating an effective intervention plan and accurately predicting outcomes. The research on the measurement properties of tools used to evaluate patients' functional abilities and movement impairments (PROMs and PREMs in general) is paramount in providing support for best practices in physiotherapy.

To highlight the importance of this area of research, the Brazilian Journal of Physical Therapy has dedicated a special issue to physiotherapy diagnostic research. The journal invites submissions of research that explore the accuracy, validity, and reliability of these assessment tools. Additionally, studies on classification systems, policies, and regulations that pertain to physiotherapeutic diagnoses are also encouraged and highly valued. By disseminating the latest and greatest in this field, physiotherapists can ensure that they continue to deliver the highest quality of care to their patients.
